Shrimp with Pistachio Sauce – A Grilled Omega-3 Rich Delight
Serves: 4 people Ingredients:
For the shrimp:
- Chopped pistachios: 2 tbsp
- Shrimp: 500g
- Olive oil: 3 tbsp
- Paprika: 1 tsp
- Butter: 1 tbsp
For the sauce:
- Finely chopped pistachios: 2 tbsp
- Olive oil: 2 tbsp
- Finely chopped garlic: 1 clove
- Ginger (powdered): 1 tsp
- Black pepper (powdered): As needed
Instructions:
- To make the sauce, mix the finely chopped pistachios, olive oil, finely chopped garlic, powdered ginger, and black pepper in a bowl. Set the bowl aside.
- In another bowl, mix the chopped pistachios, olive oil, and paprika together. Add the shrimp to the mixture and toss to coat the shrimp with the pistachio mixture.
- Skewer the shrimp and place them onto a preheated grill or grill pan. Cook the shrimp until they turn pink and start to curl up, which should take about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Brush the melted butter over the cooked shrimp and then coat them with the pistachio sauce.
- Serve the shrimp with the pistachio sauce on the side, along with your choice of side dish.
Note: We recommend soaking wooden skewers in water for a few hours before using them to prevent them from burning on the grill.
